This policy explains what InsuLayout Pro (the app, on iPhone, Android and the web) collects, where it goes, and how to delete it. The short version: the app works without an account, your jobs stay on your phone, and there are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. A picture you choose to scan is read once and not kept.

1. If you sign in

Signing in is optional. You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email and password. If you do, we receive:

• your name and email address (with Sign in with Apple you may choose to share a private relay address instead of your real one),
• a user ID created by Firebase Authentication,
• your Google profile photo address, if you sign in with Google.

These are kept in Google Firebase (Authentication, and a profile record in Cloud Firestore holding your name, email, photo address, the union local you entered, how you signed in and when). They are used only to sign you in and show your profile in the app. Your password, if you use one, is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us.

2. What stays on your phone

Your saved jobs, calculations, nesting queues, the Work Chart and its profile photo, and your settings are stored on your device. We never upload them or back them up. Your phone's own backup (Google backup on Android, iCloud on iPhone) may include them if you have it turned on; on Android it leaves out the sign-in session and scan photos. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them from the phone.

Every layout calculation (gored elbows, tees, laterals, reducers, end caps, nesting) runs on the device. TinnerAI, the built-in assistant, is a rule-based helper that runs on the phone and does not send your questions to any AI service.

3. Scan: pictures of drawings, pipe and labels

Scan is optional and part of Shop Pro. It needs you to be signed in, and the app asks you to agree each time before you take or choose a picture. When you scan:

• The app shrinks the picture on your phone and sends it over an encrypted connection (TLS), with your Firebase sign-in token, to QuantaClad AI, InsuLayout's reading service. It runs on Cloudflare Workers.
• With each scan the app also sends the store's signed record of your Shop Pro purchase (from Google Play or the App Store). The service checks Apple's or Google's signature on it, to confirm the scan comes from someone who owns Shop Pro, and does not keep it.
• An AI model run by Cloudflare Workers AI reads what is printed or drawn in the picture and sends back what it read. The app shows you every value to check and change before anything is worked out from it.
• The picture is not kept. We do not store the picture or what was read from it. Cloudflare Workers AI does not keep the picture or the answer after the request is done, and does not use them to train AI models (Cloudflare's Workers AI data usage).
• What we do keep: your Firebase user ID and how many scans you have made this month, so the monthly scan limit works. It is stored in Cloudflare D1. Each month's counts are deleted automatically the day after the month ends, and yours are deleted when you delete your account.
• QuantaClad AI's service logs record the type of scan, how long it took, its size in tokens and whether the purchase check passed. They do not hold your user ID, the purchase record, the picture or what was read. Cloudflare keeps these logs for up to 7 days.

Only photograph drawings and equipment you are allowed to photograph and share. Many sites do not allow phones or cameras in the work area.

4. Microphone, camera and photos

• Microphone and speech recognition: used only when you tap the mic to ask TinnerAI a question. Your phone's speech recognition service (Apple's on iPhone, Google's on Android) turns the speech into text and may process the audio on its own servers under its own privacy policy. InsuLayout Pro does not record or keep the audio.
• Camera and photo library: used only when you choose to take or pick a picture: a profile photo for the Work Chart, which stays on your phone, or a scan, which is sent to be read as described in section 3 and is not kept.

5. Purchases

Shop Unlock and Shop Pro are one-time in-app purchases processed by the App Store on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. We never see your payment details. The app only checks the store's record of what was bought, so it can stay unlocked, including offline.

6. What we do not do

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking.
• No selling or sharing of your information, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

7. Services we rely on

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), for sign-in and your profile record. Firebase privacy and security
• Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In, if you choose them.
• Cloudflare (Workers, Workers AI and D1), for Scan: reading the picture and keeping the monthly scan count. Cloudflare privacy policy
• The App Store and Google Play, for in-app purchases.

8. Deleting your data

In the app, open Config and choose Delete Account. This deletes your Firebase account and its profile record, deletes your scan count, clears the app's data on the phone, and, for Sign in with Apple, revokes the app's access to your Apple ID. If the scan service cannot be reached at that moment, your scan count is deleted automatically the day after the month ends. Your saved jobs can also be cleared from Config at any time.

9. Security

Information sent between the app and Firebase, and between the app and the scan service, is encrypted in transit (TLS). Google encrypts the data it stores. Data kept only on your phone is protected by your phone's own security.

10. Children

InsuLayout Pro is a tool for tradespeople and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
